K-Mart and the quest for things I need to please my inner 9 year old

It's a bit of a blessing in disguise to have a K-Mart on the way to and from work. But what about the inner nine year old? That inner 9 year old tells me to drop in and walk straight to the toy aisle to see if the Hot Wheels are freshly stocked. I pretty much get custom vans, or muscle cars, depending on their paint scheme or wheel selection.

Then there is the other thing where I am pretty much just collecting them. It's not like when I was a kid where I would play with them and imagine I was controlling the destiny of Mad Max as he smashed his way through other cars for survival's sake. Man, that was great! I would spend so much time trying to recreate scenes from Mad Max 1 and 2, and even create scenes that can be deemed nowadays as prequels or even sequels that exclude Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
Movies definitely played a major role in how I imagined my own time in having fun with toys, especially G.I. JOE.

Other than that, I still get a kick out of finding a new design or whatever, and feel a bit nostalgic when I do discover a new car that would've satisfied that 9 year old from 25 years ago who would render his knees raw as Max scoured the wasteland for fuel, while defending himself from Humungus' marauders.
